HOGESHY
A quiet black cat / probably happy
A quiet mirror / An introduction

What is
Hogeshy?

A black cat born from a difficult time, a love of cats, and the wish to be happy without forcing anything.

What do you see in Hogeshy?

Hogeshy, a black surreal void cat

The origin of Hogeshy

Hogeshy was born during a period of leave from work due to adjustment disorder.

It began with two feelings: a sense of looseness and a sense of emptiness. Those feelings took the form of a black cat, inspired by a love of cats.

The eye on Hogeshy’s tail is there to look back at itself from a distance. Not to judge, but to notice when it is trying too hard.

Sometimes, Hogeshy does not want to think about anything.

But it still wants to be happy.

Hogeshy does not have all the answers. It simply stays there, quietly, trying not to force itself to be anything.

Perhaps that is enough for today.

Maybe that is what Hogeshy can give: a small place to stop. A moment when you do not have to be productive, cheerful, or certain.

If someone feels a little less alone, or remembers that quiet happiness is still happiness, that is enough.

Perhaps Hogeshy is a quiet mirror. If Hogeshy looks sad or lonely to you, that feeling may be telling you something about yourself. Not as a diagnosis. Just a small invitation to notice, and to be a little gentler with yourself.

Hogeshy is always looking for something.

Happiness. Misfortune. Nothingness. Canned cat food. Or something else.

Hogeshy is not entirely sure.

Here, there are short stories, daily records, and a few small comics.

None of them are particularly important. Probably.

Still, every day, Hogeshy keeps living.
